Why this is an Important issue.
Come and hear why we have very little time to act to avoid the catastrophic consequences of climate change, and why aiming for zero emissions and below, is one of the few options that makes any sense.
What you will hear
Adrian will discuss the risks associated with different levels of global warming and greenhouse gases, explain why we must immediately reduce our atmospheric greenhouse gas levels, how we can work towards zero emission solutions, what role forestry and land clearing plays in a global and Tasmanian context, and why grassroots community-led response is the only way we will be able to convince our governments and industry that it is time to take this issue seriously.
Each event will include a local guest speaker talking about the here and now of destruction of native forest in their region.
Return to Tasmania
Adrian is returning to Tasmania after a successful lobbying and speaking visit in January, where he was the guest Climate Change Speaker at the Weld Convergence. The lobbying tour focused on the issue of climate change and the need to go to zero emissions and beyond, and included environmental, religious, social justice, and political groups.
