EVENT - Garnaut Climate Change Review Draft Report Public Forums
Garnaut's draft report is being released today. Professor Garnaut will be hosting public forums from 7 to 11 July 2008 in cities around Australia for discussions with the community on the Draft Report. These forums will provide an opportunity for individuals and organisations to discuss the Draft Report with Professor Garnaut and the Review Secretariat.

NEWS - New Coal Power Plant for VIC
Just days before the Garnaut report is released the Brumby Government has shown either gross incompetence or a commitment to destroying the planet or prehaps both by approving a new $750 million, 400 megawatt brown coal power station for the Latrobe Valley which will seek to be up and running by 2013.
The project was announced under the topic “A Fairer Victoria” on the ALP website.
PETITION - 7 Sunrise Solar Rebate
7 Sunrise has finally set up a petition to get Kevin Rudd's Federal Labor to removed the $100K means test on solar.

This follows 7 Sunrise's 2006 Campaign to get the Solar rebate reinstated after the Howard government threaten to defund it.
170,000 people signed the petition back then.

We are going to form a 140-metre-long human sign to spell the words "Climate Emergency". Please organise your group to send endorsement, tell everyone you know, and come on the day wearing something red to symbolise emergency.

SUBMISSION - Garnaut Review
Here are the submissions to the Garnaut Review I have put together for Friday the 11th deadline.
There is one more opportunity to input in this stage to the report
The final submission topic is carbon trading. I will be putting up a summary of points you can use to write a submission on the 15th.
The final sumbmission is due on Friday the 18th of April.
